MY PHILOSOPHY

I believe that the body, mind and soul are inextricable and we are working, always, on all these levels of existence as we work on the physical body.

I believe in empowering people by educating them so that they can be in the world in confidence, knowing how their own bodies work and how best to care for them.

I believe we all have something to offer one another and It is my honor to teach you and to learn from you.

My work is eclectic and creative, and geared toward providing optimal health and well being to my clients.

I use a variety of techniques including deep tissue and Swedish massage, trigger point release along with passive stretches and movement education for a more therapeutic, rehabilitative experience. I also introduce Craniosacral therapy, and Chi Nei Tsang for a more relaxing session geared more toward the flow of energy.

My innovative treatments provide a plethora of healing outcomes. Experts estimate that nearly ninety percent of disease is stress-related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. Massage is an effective tool for managing this syndrome, which translates into:

  • Lowered anxiety

  • Enhanced sleep quality

  • Greater energy

  • Improved concentration

  • Increased circulation

  • Reduced fatigue

Massage – and my other treatments - can also help specifically address a number of health issues:

  • Alleviate low-back pain and improve range of motion.

  • Assist with shorter, easier labor for expectant mothers and shorten maternity hospital stays.

  • Ease medication dependence.

  • Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body's natural defense system.

  • Exercise and stretch weak, tight, or atrophied muscles.

  • Help athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts.

  • Improve the condition of our largest organ—the skin.

  • Increase joint flexibility.

  • Lessen depression and anxiety.

  • Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue and stretch marks.

  • Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation.

  • Reduce post surgery adhesions and swelling.

  • Reduce spasms and cramping.

  • Relax and soften injured, tired, and overused muscles.

  • Release endorphins—amino acids, the body's natural painkiller.

  • Relieve migraine pain.

"What makes her stand out is she genuinely cares for people, about your health emotionally, physically and mentally. She knows more about the human body then I could say.  I feel she puts her heart and soul into her work and you feel it when you get a massage with her." -- Ralph C.
